PRODUCTION
My passion is storytelling with purpose.
I have a strong skill set in managing content teams both in the field and prior to dispatch, concepting and executing storylines across both long and short form content, script writing, post-production and budget management.
Below you will find a small selection of content that I have worked across in a producer capacity.
Featuring top US Olympic hopefuls, this docu-series follows the women who are ready to take the sport of surfing to the Olympic stage. We will follow them through qualifications and trials. This is REPRESENT. This is the Olympics. And this, this is the first step in surfing’s big future.
It’s been a huge year for Gabriel Medina, a 2x World Champion attempting to go back-to-back from a World Title win in 2018. Two event wins, countless Final heats and an almost unmatched number of quarterfinals. Perfect barrels, insane airs and performances that will go down in history.
Today, at the 2019 Billabong Pipe Masters, Gabriel was ready to fight until the end for that third World Title. Heading into the event, he had one clear goal –win the Pipe Masters, win the World Title. Gabriel surfed an almost perfect event, clocking some of the highest scores and deepest barrels, through to the Final heat of the event.
In the end it was fellow Brazilian Italo Ferreira who took the win again Gabriel, claiming both the 2019 World Title and the win of the 2019 Billabong Pipe Masters.
But as Gabriel said... “I have a goal, to become a 3x World Champion. I’m working to get that –and that’s it.”
After a stacked six-weeks in oversized surfing, the last of the 2020 Red Bull Big Wave Awards were handed out this week, with the highly coveted XXL Biggest Wave Award and prestigious Ride Of The Year categories rounding out the honor roll. Jamie O'Brien and the World Surf League's Kaipo Guerrero break it all down from JOB's place at Pipeline.
Owen and Pipeline have had a long relationship, and not one without bumps and bruises. At 13 years old he had his first experience on the North Shore, and with that his first encounter with big, heavy waves. And at the young age of 13, he was hooked. The adrenaline, the thrill, the reward… it was always going to keep him coming back for more.
A thoughtful look at Gabriel Medina’s campaign during the Rip Curl Pro Portugal.
Coming into the 2019 Rip Curl Pro Portugal, Gabriel Medina was wearing the yellow jersey and had a chance to clinch his third World Title at the event. Similar to the 2018 scenario, he was in a position where he had the opportunity to win the Title by reaching the pointy end of the event. If his close competitors fell out early, the Title could be his in Portugal.
Until he made a mistake. This is a sentence, and a word, very rarely said in relation to Gabriel Medina. He doesn’t make mistakes.
Watch as we follow Gabriel Medina through his campaign at the 2019 Rip Curl Pro Portugal, and listen as Kelly Slater, Stephanie Gilmore and Martin Potter narrate through the eyes of World Champions.
The large scale mural artist Mad Steez brings colour to the Rip Curl store in Peniche, Portugal.
For the past 12 months Rip Curl has been collaborating with large scale mural artist Mad Steez, bringing to life different lineups and events around the world with bold colours and his unique graphic style. After painting a lineup at Padang Padang, a World Champion mural at Bells, he is now here in Peniche bringing colour to the side of the Rip Curl store.
This mural makes history for the 2019 MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, and we look forward to sharing it with the town of Peniche for years to come.
Deep dive into the return of the women to Supertubos in 2019, exactly one decade after the original Rip Curl Search event.
It’s been almost a decade since the world’s best female surfers competed in a Championship Tour event at Supertubos. In 2009, both women and men were introduced to Peniche, Portugal, with the iconic Rip Curl Search event.
In 2019 the World Surf League and Rip Curl are proud to announce the return of the women to Supertubos. An opportunity to put the world’s best female surfers in challenging and critical surf –an opportunity for World Titles to be won in heaving, spitting barrels –and opportunity to continue to push the progression of female surfing and showcase the talent and bravery that runs through the Women’s World Tour.
Made by MadSteez is a small selection of carefully designed wetsuits, boardshorts and men’s apparel, made in collaboration with large-scale mural artist Mark Paul Deren aka MadSteez.
While filming for the campaign, Mason Ho sat down with the artist and asked... who is MadSteez? Press play and find out...
Celebrating 50 Years of Surfing, Rip Curl is pleased to announce the launch of "The Rip Curl Story", written by esteemed surf writer Tim Baker.
"The Rip Curl Story" is the remarkable tale of two young surfers who pursued a dream to make a living out of the pursuit of the ultimate ride. The brand that these men built not only satisfied their own surf wanderlust, but also inspired many others, riding the wave of the global youth revolution of the late ‘60s.
This unique book is a series of ripping yarns and is as much a smart business primer as it is a wild adventure story. It will make readers want to surf more, travel further, follow through on that business idea and pursue their own Search.
